Me waving to the audience on the stage of the opening ceremony at the 2019 Florida state conference.

SkillsUSA was an enormous part of my life in high school and still is to this day. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. The organization helps students, such as myself, gain the necessary skills to succeed in a variety of career fields and be able to demonstrate those skills in competitions as well. I served as a regional (2017-2018) and state officer (2018-2019) in Florida. My time in SkillsUSA brought me many fond and influential experiences that I credit to who I have become today. I continue to work with SkillsUSA as an alumni member, assisting in trainings and conferences to help students on their SkillsUSA journey have a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
