When I was in the first grade, a Boy Scouts of America (BSA) recruiter came to our classroom and told us all about the amazing experiences and lessons you could receive from being apart of the organization. It was in that moment I had a motivation to try this new and exciting venture in my life. I went to my parents and said, "I want to join the Boy Scouts," and the rest followed. The BSA had been part of my life since the first grade and followed me into high school. The BSA was instrumental in building and growing me into who I am today. I made many lifelong friends, learned countless lessons, and had many wonderful experiences. In November of 2017, I had my Eagle Scout Board of Review, the process to officially being recognized as the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. And after it, I officially became, as they call it, an Eagle Scout for life.
