In the summer of 2019, I was accepted into the Bank of America Student Leader program. This program provided me the opportunity to serve a local nonprofit, the Boys and Girls Club, as well as go on a trip to Washington D.C. In Washington D.C, I learned how nonprofits, governments, and businesses work together to meet the needs of communities across the United States. With the skills that I learned, I was able to serve, inspire, and change my local community.
